Started the event with double rounds of accuracy and the cuts to the finals. Both Women’s and Open required playoffs to determine the finalists. Weather was decent, but hot and humid with shifting winds for all players. Finals in the Women’s was very close, while in the Open Conrad Damon cruised to his 7th world title. The other 4 finalists all tied for 2nd.
We also moved the start of discathon to Monday as the golf course was pretty tough and would make Tuesday a very long and tough day. As you can see from the photos above, we had a real lake with several players putting shots into it.
Tuesday brought a full day of golf on a pretty tough and rough course located at the Tompkins-Cortland Community College just outside of Ithaca. Randy Lahm cruised to the Open title and Tita Ugalde controlled the Women’s division.
Wednesday brings a full day of field events, SCF and Distance.
