Hi, I’m Gary James...

Well, I finally did it.  I got my first professional photos taken in Santa Monica with a lovely gal named Mikel Healy.  We had a good time hanging out, had some java, bounced in my bouncer, posed for some pics and a few hours later I was spent.  Rough life being a model.  But hey, it’s a worth it when I see the craft service table.  Anyway, thanks to Mikel for all the laughs!  You’re the best.

Kooper

Here’s the low down on how my name came to be.  I’m named after my late grandfather, Gary Kent Roberts, at least that’s where I get my first name.  My middle name is a different story, you see my Great Great Uncle road with Jesse James.  That’s right as in Jesse, the bank-robbing, train-robbing, what have you, James.  My GG Uncle was a horse whisper and his name was Jim.  So, James seemed like a pretty cool middle name, plus it means one of “the brothers of thunder” in the Bible, boom!  But Kooper?  Where does that come from?  Well, my grandfather Gary Kent was named after Gary Cooper, the actor; my parents almost named me Kooper, but liked it better as a nickname.  The spelling with a ‘K’ is for Gramps.
