Chase the Horizon
Chase the Horizon
Recapturing the Legacy of World Adventurer Richard Halliburton
Richard Halliburton lived from 1900 to 1939. Coming of age just in time for the end of World War I, he died just before the outbreak of World War II. He lived his entire adventurous live in that span of years that saw the Roaring 20’s, the Great Depression, the rise of Communism, Fascism, and Nazism. He traveled a dangerous world shaped by the Treaty of Versailles.
Halliburton disappeared in March 1939, as probably all adventuring travelers should- while in the midst of one of his exploits, he was lost at sea while attempting to sail a Chinese junk, “The Sea Dragon” across the Pacific, from Hong Kong to San Francisco.
