Some history

My name is Peter Webb. I live and work in Melbourne Australia. Live - with the most beautiful and amazing woman I have met, Ruth Williams, and with our two sons Louis and Yoshi. They are both very creative, optimistic, compassionate souls. Work - as a Visual Effects designer and supervisor for Iloura - a visual effects focussed post production facility in Melbourne, Australia. Mostly I work on feature films and episodic TV drama. We recently completed about 180 shots for Baz Luhrmann’s film Australia. There is a podcast interview with me on a visual effects website, FXGuide - here is a link.

In late September of 2005 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a form of bone marrow cancer. Much treatment ensued and some of that is journalled here (the link is to the left). As at February 2009 the cancer has returned but is being managed with regular drug treatment that is manageable and I am dealing well with the side effects. Bottom line is that my quality of life is good.

Towards the end of September and early October 2007 Ruth and I spent 10 days in Japan, see our photos using the link on the left.

I have added a Christmas update for 2007 and a longer journal entry reflecting on recent times. There are also a couple of farm pages now - January 08 and year of the Barn. You can visit the photo galleries link to see a lot more of images of recent fun.

Please feel free to email me about almost anything !
