OUR CHURCH:

The mission of Tipp City United Methodist Church is to develop radiant followers of Jesus Christ. 

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the...and I am with you always even to end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

UPWARD MINISTRIES:

The mission of UPWARD Sports Ministries is to introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10

We at TCUMC feel that these two mission statements compliment each other because the aim in each is to lead children and adults to Jesus Christ.

History and Growth

UPWARD Sports Ministries was founded in 1986 by Caz McCaslin and has grown from ‘a full gym with 27 on the waiting list’ to 455,212 kids in Basketball, Cheerleading, Sports/Cheer Camps, Soccer and Flag Football across the U.S. by 2006.

Tipp City UMC opened its doors in the fall of 2006 for the 2006-07 season with 92 basketball players.  Now in our second year we have seen a doubling in participants to 189 including basketball and cheerleading for our 2008 season. Our growth continues as we reached near the 250 player mark for the 2009 season.
