On August 18, 2008, CBS News and 60 Minutes broadcast a report about the way rape is being used as a tool of war by rebel groups and others in Eastern Congo to terrorize women and bring entire communities under their control.  I want to encourage you to watch this 12-minute video to learn more about what the people of North and South Kivu continue to face.  This report focuses on the situation around Bukavu, which is in South Kivu, just on the other side of Lake Kivu from Goma.  As Anderson Cooper warns at the beginning of his report the video contains disturbing images.
