This past week has launched the beginning of the real work! We sat down with our adjuster and received the “scope of work” paperwork. This is 68 pages of line-items detailing the structural work to be done. We will certainly max out our insurance limits. In the end numbers will range between 150K

Wow, it’s been about a month since our fire. We can hardly believe that much time has gone by. Life is returning to normal. Our new home is feeling a bit more like home--you know kids leaving their stuff everywhere, dishes needing to be washed, carpets needing to be vacuumed and the like.

Yes! We are in our new home in College Place. We’ve got mattresses on the floor to sleep on--ahhh, much better than a hotel. We are beginning to purchase all of the basics for the kitchen and bathrooms (3 of them). Wow, to go from 1 bathroom to 3--one can hardly contain one’s self :).

Yaaah! We were handed the keys. Yep, we have a temporary home--so long hotel life it was fun while it lasted.
