The Friends of Knowland Park is a group of neighborhood groups, friends, and concerned citizens from throughout the Bay Area, brought together by the common need to preserve an amazing piece of open space. Knowland park is an oasis that looks out over the entire Bay Area, with views of all five bridges including the Golden Gate. This is a precious resource that many people would never know existed until it would be too late. The open space of Knowland is slowly being eroded piece-by-piece by the Oakland Zoo, under the guise of conservation and land stewardship. Please join us in preserving this special place for generations to come.
