Like my dining table, I change things up on my mantle depending on time of year and theme.

It always cheers me because this is just another of those places the eyes look when I’m coming through the house.

It’s a happy little surprise for me those first few days after a change. Like some decorating fairies swept in and altered it when I wasn’t looking...

Poor short term memory, I suppose, has its advantages. :-)
