At the Foot of Machu Picchu
From Ollantaytambo we took a train along the Rio Urubamba to the rickety little town of Aguas Calientes, which was at the foot of Machu Picchu mountain. From there, we transferred to a bus, which took us over an impossible road cantilevered out over the river, and up unending steep switchbacks to the entry of Machu Picchu.
