Leaitta Thompson is a long time resident of the Comox Valley in British Columbia, Canada, whose practice includes photography, graphic design, drawing and mixed media. She has exhibited work in group shows at the Comox Valley Public Art Gallery, and at Shadbolt Studios and has had solo exhibits at the Fireplace Gallery and Joe Reeds. Her professional practice includes freelance graphic design work, as well as private instruction of design programs, photography, and drawing. Some of her works are present in private collections in Canada, USA, Switzerland and Germany.

Lea has associates degrees in Graphic Art and Fine Art from North Island College and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She is interested in documenting everyday events in order to engage the viewer with their own memories and experiences. She is captivated with history and memory and how it is interpreted in our modern world.
