Club Overview


The Davis Fútbol Club (DFC) is a proud member of the Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA). Davis FC is registered to play through District 6, formerly known as the South Davis Soccer Association. Club Rules and Bylaws are in strict accordance with State and District policies.


General Info


Davis FC is a non-profit organization with approximately 10 teams ranging in age from U11 to U16. The Club is actively recruiting additional players, coaches, and teams. Davis FC plans to add additional teams for younger players as the program grows.


Purpose


Davis FC believes in providing a quality soccer experience at a lower cost and with more control at the coach and parent levels.


The Club, is dedicated to building individual skill, self-confidence, a good sense of teamwork, and discipline, while providing all the resources and opportunities young athletes need to reach their greatest potential.


Philosophy


Davis FC is committed to your goals. Some players are content playing at recreational levels; others enjoy the competitive team approach. Davis FC tries to identify players who exhibit the commitment, desire, and potential to play at higher levels. All levels of competitive play are offered locally so players are not forced to seek alternatives elsewhere. Within the competitive teams there are varying cost and travel requirements. Not all players and parents want the increased travel or can afford the cost that comes with the Elite level teams.


Davis FC is committed to developing local youth. Davis FC strives to make decisions in the best interest of each individual player to further his or her mastery of the game. The Club believes that the best approach to player development is to group players by like skill and commitment. As the players reach each developmental stage, where they possess the required technical foundation, desire, and commitment, they are placed in the appropriate environment to continue their development.


Davis FC is committed to supporting and developing coaches. As players mature, coaches should improve also. The Club encourages coaches who are knowledgeable about soccer and great with players to continue pursuing higher certifications. To realize these goals, the Club tries to keep coaches and teams together and provides support, training, and resources to coaches. DFC provides highly skilled trainers, who are available to assist coaches during team practices with player conditioning, skill building, drills, position assignment, and so forth. Both coaches and players benefit from this professional training.


Davis FC is committed to parents. Davis Fútbol Club is committed to lowering the costs of organized soccer while providing the greatest value possible. The Club’s cost structure is transparent, showing where every dollar is going. Parents will know how much of their registration fee goes to the state and district organizations and how much goes to the Club. Individual coaches decide how much support and training they require from the Club, and costs are adjusted accordingly.
