Two and a half days of assisting on a shoot in the Arctic Circle was the high point of my nearly three month-long stay in a remote village on the North Slope of Alaska. Previously, I had spent my time getting practical filming experience while working in a hotel every day to pay my way. The subjects of the BBC shoot were wild polar bears, arctic foxes and a wolverine.
