While TVC’s Audio Sermon Podcast pages give you a way to listen to audio sermons from the past few years in your web browser, you might want to download them to your computer to load onto your iPod or to burn a CD so you can listen to them away from your computer. There are two easy ways to do this:
1) Subscribe to the Podcast using iTunes:
-
a)If you don’t have iTunes, download it HERE or click on the button at the bottom left of this page and install it on your computer.
-
b)Subscribe to the Podcast by clicking on the Subscribe button at the top of the Audio Sermons Podcast page, OR by clicking HERE to subscribe via the iTunes Store. It will automatically open iTunes and add the TVC Audio Sermons Podcast to your list.*
-
c)Get new sermons each week by pressing the “Refresh” button at the bottom right of the iTunes window.
-
* The iTunes Podcast only gives the 20 most recent sermons.
2) Download the individual Audio Sermon files directly from the site:
-
a)Navigate to the Audio Sermon you would like to download via the Table of Contents
-
b)Right Click or Option Click on the AAC or MP3** logo button OR click on the button and “Save As...” once the file is loaded in the web browser.
-
** We recommend the AAC file format since the older MP3 format has lower sound quality. We only included the MP3 format in case some users have a system or MP3 player that are not capable of handling AAC files.
Our latest Audio Sermons are “Enhanced AAC” files, which show accompanying images in the artwork viewer in iTunes or on your iPod while you listen. Once you subscribe to the podcast using iTunes, you can now see the notes, quotes and images that Jim provides during his message every Sunday. To display the artwork viewer, choose “Show Artwork” from the View Menu. To see the artwork in its own window, click the artwork and drag the lower right corner to enlarge the window. In iTunes you can skip to the next or previous chapter(s) of the Enhanced AAC file by choosing “Next Chapter” or “Previous Chapter” from the Controls Menu , or you can select a chapter by its title in the Chapter Menu that appears when you start playing the episode. While listening on your iPod you can use the skip forward and back buttons to move between chapters.
If you are not able to view the PDF notes files, download and install Adobe’s free Acrobat Reader HERE.
