Guanajuato is one of the 31 states that comprise the United States of Mexico. It is a mountainous region with cities located well over a mile high. It’s cities range from metropolises of millions of people like Leon, to thousands of tiny “ranchos” some no more than 30 inhabitants. As with all of Mexico, and most of the latin world, the people here are very Catholic and religious. There are a group of about ten missionary families working to reach the people of this area.
