So how do I summarized such and amazing trip. The question “Que hora es?” is the first thing that comes to mind. “What time is it?” Timing has been a key theme for this whole trip.
It was right timing that brought
Tony and I to the same party to
discuss our mutual dream of going to
Antigua to learn Spanish. By the
way, if you ever need a travel buddy
Tony is your guy. Anyone who can put
up with me for two weeks has got to
be pretty cool :-)
It was the perfect time of the year for us to meet all the amazing students. Everyone of them added a special twist to my experience. Inspiring me to travel the world. Emily got me facing my fears, Peter, got me salsa dancing, Michael made me believe that I can work in another country.
Had the timing not been perfect, I
would have been stuck in Houston
because our flight got delayed, I had
problems with security, (I’m sorry
but the bottle of rum didn’t make it
into the country) and the very funny
custom’s guy wanted to quiz me on my
spanish.
On this blog I’ve highlighted some special moments from my trip but much more happened during the two weeks than can ever be capture here. I can’t wait to see you and tell you in person what this trip meant to me. Thank you all for your encouragement and prayers. The next time I hit the international road to do some soul searching I’ll definitely keep you in the loop.
Blessings to all,
Theresa
