Success after Success.

Once again we managed to finish at the top of the podium and set ourselves in the driver’s seat for the 2007 HPC championship! But lets take things from the start:

The location:

As last year, the HPC field was located right next to a beautiful beach and to the city of Paralia. Aside from the beautiful sand, the beach we also had an amazing beach bar, great music, a masseur, a barwoman with great tits (some say eyes too :p) and plenty of places to chill and enjoy a mojito (or a Corona for the more traditional). All of us dirty paintballers at every break or at the end of the day would storm the beach and enjoy the beauties of Greece.

The Field:

But lets not forget what we went there to do… So the playing surface was not the best as it was a bit difficult to slide. We enjoyed the field set-up witch allowed for an aggressive and quick paced type of game, which we always enjoy. Apart from that, the player’s area was covered (which was great since the sun was strong). There also was a pro-shop by paintballonline.gr that supplied us with anything we wanted. The most important change this year for the tomahawk tour though were the 4500 psi air tanks that were brought to the locations and allowed us to quickly refills our hungry bottles and get back to our battle stations, thumbs up for that.

Let get down and dirty:

So the games started early on Saturday and despite an almost 2 hour break we managed to finish well ahead of schedule (thumbs up for that too). For our team it was a perfect day since not only we went on to finish the first round undefeated but also all of our games were solid. We went on the second round being the first seeded team and we only needed to win 3 of the next 5 games in order to lock the first place of the HPC. So, on Sunday morning, once again we threw ourselves into battle with our egos blazing and won the first 3 games of the day, thus locking the First place of the tomahawk tour. So far we had 12 wins in 12 games and we were first for sure. The next two games were more relaxed and stress-free since we had achieved our goal. We finished the tournament first winning 13 games out of 14, and we all were very satisfied.

We are very satisfied with our performance because our team due to educatory reasons (yeah we need that too) has not had training during the last month, but we were still in a really good condition. Now we look forward for the Centurio event in Moscow were we hope to do our best. Our team will undergo serious and extensive trainings for the next month in order to be at top condition for the centurio tournament.

Congrats to DFT for their reffing. We feel that the marshaling quality was very good (strict too ;) )
