HPS #2 Dexon Paintball ::1st Place::
Second leg of the Hellenic Paintball Series (HPS) was held in Dexon Paintball Camp in Athens, following the standards set by the previous tourney, the 2nd leg gathered a lot of teams, from all over Greece. New entries to the HPS but not to the paintball scene were,Invasion from Patra, Spartans from Athens, Maxs Threat (who were reffing in the last event) and Damage both from Thessaloniki.
Games started on Saturday morning, under a perfect weather for paintball which continued all the way up till games ended. Not to hot not to cold...warm, sunny, perfect.
In the prelims, we ended first on Saturday having only one loss by Blades and a tie from Mosquitos, and we were followed by Maxs Threat, Damage and Blades. Sunday's games consisted of the semi finals and the finals. In the the semis we had to face Blades, the team that beat us in the last final. However our team played two strong solid games and won with a 2-0 score and no eliminated players from our side to advance to the finals.
In the finals we had to face Maxs Threat, a "new" team made up from teams Goblins/smk and Dogs D'Amour, players we knew from the past and have faced many times in finals or critical games. First game we lost it, after a close ending (2v2). Second game was again narrowed down to a 3v2 with Maxs Threat locking the field from the corner bunkers and try getting a tie out of it. However Teo as soon as the opportunity rised went to bunker one of the corners to break the lock and make the other opponent an easy elimination for the other teammates.
In the final game of the finals, tension was high and became higher soon after the game turned again into a 2v2 duel with Maxs Threat holding the 50's and a corner bunker. Teo once more provided the solution by making a move undected towards the 50's bunkering the opponent and move on to bunker the last player as well, and gave us the victory in the decisive game with only 14 secs left on the stopwatch.
It was nice winning :-D
Teo was voted as MVP of the tournament mostly for his moves in the finals, making it our 2nd MVP award in a row after Angel winning it last month in Adrenaline Challenge. We had a great event, we hope seing everybody again in the next leg.
