Our 2nd international event of the year ended succefully on sunday 15 of October. The last leg of the Centurio East European was held for it's first time in Thessalonica Greece, it was the first international event held in Greek soil and from what I saw it was hosted with 100% success. The facilities were outstanding, 3 fields laid in awesome grass and all other secondary facilities such as players area, cafe and a hostel (we didn't used it) were great, on top of that the sunny weather completed the perfect image for the tourney.

On the games side, once more our roster was not full, with the usual absences due to abroad studies of Angel.M,Dimitris and Nick it was up to the rest of the squad (Alex,Angel.P,George,Jerry,Spiro, and Teo) to make the best of this international event in our home turf. For us it was the first international 5-man event ever attended although unlike the 7man of the millennium, we were much familiar to the format as it has been the primary format of Greek tourneys over the last years.

Our games started on Saturday noon, after 8 games we lost one game from Knauf (div.1) and one from Los Lobos (div.2) and ended up 2nd under Paintball Cyprus Factory Team (PBCY). On Sunday our 1st game was on 8:45 we made it to the field the last minute but still managed to get the victory sheet but lost our last game of our preliminaries to 2easy (div3) due to bad judgement of the marshals (girls outside the netting were cheering for us and the marshal thought they were giving us directions, so they pulled Alex when he was moving up the tape going to bunker the last guy) , still after our 10 preliminary games we ended second under PBCY by one extra loss.

On the semi-final round we played against DeNovo (UK), VictorCharlie (GR) and Mortifieurs (FR), we managed to win 3 out of 3 games, and placed 1st in group, tied with Sunrise(RU) from the other group. We moved to the final four round, were we faced Sunrise,PBCY, and DeNovo. We lost our first game to Sunrise, but we recovered in the score sheet by winning PBCY and DeNovo, unfortunately due to our first loss against Sunrise it was not up to us anymore for the 1st place, Sunrise had to lose against somebody but they didn't, so what was left for us was to fight for the second place which we did.

Congratulations to Sunrise for the their victory, and well done to PBCY for their performance and the nice game of the finals. We finished second in the 2nd division which made us the highest ranking Greek team of the event. Followed by Krypteia who won 1st place and Mosquitos who ended 4th in Division 3.

Much respect to all Greek teams attended in all divisions it was a fantastic weekend with very nice games, we enjoyed it both inside and outside the field and had a great time.

Big thanks to George Adamidis /Paintballonline/ Estratego and the rest of the organizing crew that made this event possible and successful, and bringing to the Greek teams such a tournament, we hope that this event was the first of more to come and making our sport more and more mainstream.
