Our first HPL appearance for 2005 was made in Lamia on 26-27 of march. The participation was looking very strong with teams from all over Greece competing for 1st place.

We finished the prelims undeafeted dropping only 3 players in 6 games! and proceeded to the qualifiers of division 1. There we faced Spartans (Athens), Dogs DÀamour (Thessaloniki), Damage Reloaded (Thessaloniki) and Molon Lave (Sparti). Dropping 2 games to Dogs and Damage we moved into 4th position and faced 1st place Dogs to decide who will proceed to the finals.

Dogs was a strong team having their first win of 2005 just a few week ago, and having lost a game in the qualifiers the best of three matchup was certainly exciting. We played very good games and by making aggressive moves and pushing both tapes, we managed to win the games 2-0 and move on to the finals.
In the finals we faced Damage Reloaded, another team from Thessaloniki that looks very strong this season. We lost the 1st game due to many mistakes and an unexpected aggressive move of Damage to the snake. We returned back in the second game for a tie and back on the third game with a thirst for the cup which reflected in our game.

We won it and defended our last year victory in Lamia, a great tournament and a great weekend!
