Today I saw a gal in black leggings and a long v necked sweater.  It was nearly an exact replica of what I wore in high school in the mid ‘80s.  It immediately brought to mind a conversation I had with my mom back then when some of the ‘60s stuff was making a comeback.  She couldn’t figure out why anyone would want to wear those ugly styles again.      So are the styles so ugly or is it more a reflection of looking back on our awkward adolescent selves?  You couldn’t pay me to wear leggings.  First of all, they aren’t all that flattering unless you’ve got great legs and second, I really get the creeps thinking about high school and re-dressing the part would be creepy too.  Then there was an article in Lucky recently about how to wear neon.  What’s next?  Parachute pants?
