Every time I do the show people stick around afterward to tell me their stories.  This short film is about four of them--a granddaughter, a brother, another granddaughter and a WWII Veteran.  They all came to see The Mushroom Picker, and I am grateful to them for sharing their beautiful stories.  Thank you. 

Note: Howard Dahlgren, PFC, the final person featured on this film, passed away on October 31, 2008.  The film is dedicated to Howard.

The vintage film footage was all taken by my grandfather, Lt. Colonel Matt Konop.  For some reason, he had a movie camera with him while fighting in the war, yet another wonderful quirk of my grandpa.
