You know your move is getting closer when you start to experience the “last time” things. We just had our last Sunday night Bible study with our High School students this past weekend. It was a sweet time of sharing what God has taught them this past semester and doubly sweet as we laughed and talked over chocolate fondu. And this morning, I attended my last ladies’ ministry program event and cried with friends who are leaving even sooner than us.
But not all the “last time” things are met with sadness...many can come with rejoicing, as we look forward to something new and different in the next chapter. Though I will cherish and relish in my last Italian cappuccino, I will certainly rejoice over the last time I have to walk past our dumpster with its piles of month-old garbage. That will be a day of rejoicing, for sure!
