Brian surprised me at the end of December with a two-day trip to Assisi for our sixth wedding anniversary!  Assisi had been one of those towns that we both wanted to visit before our time in Europe was over, so that made it extra special.  He even arranged for a babysitter to stay with our girls!  

 

We had a great time, meandering the cobblestone streets while window shopping and stopping off to read in local cafes.  The Basilica of St. Francis (pictured right) was really amazing and beautiful to see, especially in the evening as the sun splashed pink light onto everything!
