* TO GUARANTEE DEPARTURE:

If there is a minimum requirement for the number of travelers that must be met in order for Bascom & Chick to operate a trip, and that minimum is not met by the advertised cut-off date, then BASCOM & CHICK will offer a full refund.

“Driving Adventures”

All prices are in U.S. dollars and are based on double occupancy and one vehicle per couple.
A deposit of 30% is due when booking.
Deposits must be received by February 1, 2009 to guarantee departure.
The deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is after February 1, 2009.
Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
If your reservation is made within 90 days of departure, the entire cost of the trip must be paid in order to secure confirmation.

A minimum of six guests per week is required for Bascom & Chick to operate this trip.

The maximum is sixteen guests per week.

Cars are booked by Bascom & Chick using your credit card and the card holder assumes all liability and responsibility for that vehicle for the duration of the rental period.  Cars booked through Bascom & Chick must include full insurance.  The full cost of the vehicle rental will be deducted from the overall trip price.

Credit card holders are required by the rental agency to post a “security deposit” that is equal to the amount of the deductible on the car.  This deductible can be lowered by paying a daily fee.

Each driver must be a minimum of 23 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license and passport.

Cars included in the trip price are Smart Car Cabriolets.

Trip price does not include the cost of road tolls or fuel for vehicles.  Vehicles will be delivered with a full tank of gas and drivers are asked to return them with a full tank.  If your vehicle is not returned at the end of the week with a full tank of fuel the rental agency will fill the tank at a cost that exceeds what one would normally pay at a gas station.

 

* ITINERARIES:

Accommodations and arranged sightseeing are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances beyond BASCOM & CHICK’S control.  Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.  

BASCOM & CHICK also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part of it, to make such alterations to the itinerary or the tour inclusions as it deems necessary or desirable.

 

* SPECIAL REQUESTS:

Specific requests such as adjacent rooms, bedding requests, smoking or non-smoking rooms and special dietary needs should be advised at time of booking.  Please note that every effort will be made to secure your request, however, they cannot be guaranteed.

 

* PRICES AND ARRANGEMENTS:

Quoted program prices include planning, handling, and operational charges, and are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs, and taxes.

BASCOM & CHICK reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs, tariffs, and taxes received after the prices are published, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.

BASCOM & CHICK is under no obligation to give breakdown costs involved in any of our programs.

 

* IMMEDIATE CHECK-IN:

Immediate check-in has not been included in the price.

We do request that hotels do their utmost to facilitate this service, however, it is not guaranteed.

 

* PHOTOGRAPHY:

BASCOM & CHICK reserves the right to take photographs during our programs and use them for promotional purposes.  

Clients who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves to their Tour Director at the beginning of the trip.

 

* BAGGAGE:

Baggage and personal effects are at the owner’s risk throughout the travel program.  Please check with your international carrier for other baggage restrictions applicable to international flights.

 

* PASSPORTS AND VISAS:

Valid passports are required for travel to the destinations on this website.  Please note that non-U.S. passport holders are responsible for obtaining the required documentation applicable for entry.  Please note that passports must be valid for six (6) months after the return of your journey and should also have sufficient blank pages for visas and immigration stamps.

BASCOM & CHICK cannot be held responsible should you be denied entry to a country due to non-compliance with these requirements.

 

* REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

For all tours a deposit of 30% per person per trip cost is required at the time of booking.  Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.  

If your reservation is made within 90 days of departure, the entire cost of the trip must be paid at the time of the request in order to secure confirmation.

 

* REGISTRATION

For all tours, cancellations received within 90 days of your departure will be subject to a deposit forfeiture.

 

* CLAIMS AND REFUNDS:

Refunds are not made for any missed services except for in verifiable extenuating circumstances.

 

* LIMITS ON BASCOM & CHICK’S RESPONSIBILITY:

In addition and without limitation, BASCOM & CHICK is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay, or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist  activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.  There are certain inherent risks in travel.  Passenger assumes all such risks with regard to these possibilities.

 

* TRAVEL ADVISORIES AND WARNINGS:

It is the responsibility of the traveler to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings by referring to the U.S. State Department’s travel website at www.travel.state.gov or by phone at 1-800-407-4747.

 

*CREDIT CARDS:

A credit card will be required to confirm vehicle bookings.  Vehicles will be booked by BASCOM & CHICK using the clients’ credit card, and the credit card holder will assume all liability and responsibility for that vehicle for the duration of the rental period.

 

* TRAVELERS REPRESENTATIONS:

The traveler represents that neither he nor she nor anyone traveling with him or her has any physical or other condition or disability that could create a hazard  to himself or herself or other members of the tour.

BASCOM & CHICK reserves the right to decline to accept anyone on a trip.  BASCOM & CHICK reserves the right to remove from the trip, at his or her sole expense, anyone whose condition is such that he or she could create a hazard to himself or others, or otherwise impact the enjoyment of other passengers on the trip.

 

* NOT INCLUDED

-International and domestic airfare

-Travel insurance

-Costs associated with obtaining passport

-Airport departure taxes

-Excess or overweight baggage charges

-Cost of fuel for rental vehicle

-Cost of road tolls

-Costs incurred from traffic violations

(including, but not limited to: parking, speeding, and DUI violations)

-Gratuities for hotel/restaurant staff, including hotel baggage porters and local guides

-Meals other than specified in the itinerary

-Beverages other than specified in the itinerary

-Guided tours not included in the itinerary

-Personal expenses including, but not limited to, laundry, hotel phone/bar charges or other items of a personal nature

-Cell Phones:  For your convenience, safety, and fun, we ask that you arrange for cell phone coverage in France.  If you do not have a cell phone, please contact us for plan recommendations.

 

ANY PAYMENT TO BASCOM & CHICK CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT HEREIN.
