HIGHLIGHTS:
*Drive scenic mountain roads to Gourdon, listed in the national register as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

*Market day in the village of Valbonne.  Shop for wine, leather goods, fabrics, antique silver, art, and much more!

*Follow our lead as we cross the border and visit a little known area of northwestern Italy.  You may imagine you’ve stepped back in time as we explore the ancient Ligurian villages of Dolceagua, Apricale, and Castel Vittorio.

*Wine tasting at a charming, family owned vineyard located just below the village of Tourrettes sur Loup.

*Travel north into the arriere pays (backcountry) and some of the most beautiful scenery in France.  Drive roads used by Aston Martin to test its new DB9, and the high mountain road used for thrilling car-chase scenes in “Ronin” (1999) starring Robert DeNiro, and James Bond’s “Goldeneye” (1995) starring Pierce Brosnan.

*Drive to Moustiers St Marie and view the stunning Gorges du Verdon, the French equivalent of the Grand Canyon!

Let us know in advance and we’ll reserve a table for lunch for you at Alain Ducasse’s exquisite, world renowned restaurant, “La Bastide de Moustiers”.

During the day:

Guests will have the option of joining Bascom & Chick on driving excursions designed to highlight the region’s most exciting roads, interesting sights, and beautiful villages.  Your guide will arrange morning briefings at the auberge during which drivers will receive:

- An overview of the day’s itinerary

- Pertinent roadway information
- Lunch and shopping suggestions

You may choose to:
- Follow the lead car throughout the day
- Be the lead car
- Blaze your own trail to each destination.
(i.e. it is not mandatory to travel in a rally format)

Want to sleep in and enjoy a late breakfast?  Simply call your tour leader and arrange to meet the group later.
