Lazy Sunday

I love daylight savings.  I really do.  I love being outside and I love being able to come home from church and have the sun still out.

We went for a little meander down to the beach on Sunday.  I decided to take the camera just for some keepsakes.

Shauna likes to paint

One of my favorite things about living in California is being surrounded by so many talented people.  I've been fortunate to meet and become friends with many of them who have inspired me in their own ways.  Such is the case with Ms. Shauna Lewis and her little shop of shabby-chic-super-duber-shavity-shavs of late night goodness (insert random blank stare).

Shauna likes to paint, and she freaking rocks the house when she's hanging with some canvas and paint brushes.  Check out her blog and buy some of her paintings - they will bring you more luck than Buddha himself.  Booyah.

holiday's - iPhone Style

I should have done this long ago.....I have repented for any blasphemous words spoken towards the iPhone.  It is a masterpiece and I love it.  Santa was kind enough to bring me one for Christmas this year.  Here's a few I snapped with it while in Utah.

Thanks Mam!!

Lately, I have hated my blogging software...

You may have noticed yesterday's post was missing some photos.  Ya well chalk it up to iBlog sucking a fat technological popsicle of stupidness.

Let's try this again now shall we:

In Perspective...

Two years to this day, Bryan and Andrea blessed our family with another morsel of awesomeness.  Henry was born.  I love him to death.  He is so different from his big brother Will.  He will no doubt be the daredevil type that hopefully comes with me on snowboarding trips while we perform awesomeness on a sled stick.  His life spins a million miles an hour and his mother is a saint for keeping up with him the way she does.

It's funny how kids put things into perspective and bring us all back to an unselfish state.  You want nothing more than for them to be happy and smiling, and I don't know many who wouldn't give there all to ensure it.  I've learned many valuable lessons since Henry and Will were born, and I am very proud to be their uncle.  I am grateful for my nephews.  They mean the world to me.  They give me purpose and perspective.  They make me happy.

Happy Birthday Henry.

Jack's Freaking Lantern

Happy Halloween everyone.  We decided to carve a few orange vegetables in the front yard last night.  Big thanks to E Hawley (too dirty to clean up her act kin of Jon Hawley) and Lisaward16 (infamous hater of my facebook albums) for providing the necessary tools - without inviting a bunch of lame dudes.

Other honorable mentions include Lacey Jo Welling (pierside's best dressed), Merzyloo (an incredible writer), and Andrea (the asian).  Love you all long tim.

And remember....vote YES on Prop 8.

Skydiving - North Shore, HI

On my recent vacation to Oahu, HI I jumped out of a plane.  Yup, I did it.  Coolest thing I've ever done.  Oh, and I didn't die :)

I've always wanted to skydive and told myself that Hawaii would be the place to do it when the opportunity presented itself.  Luckily I happened to be traveling with some dope peeps who were just as stoked/nervous as I was about doing it.  We mustered up the courage and stremph (plus a few dollars and cents) and enjoyed an incredible experience.

Would I do it again.......DEFINITELY!!

Although I didn't get to lug along my camera for the inflight experience....Money bags Baker ponied up for some priceless images.  You can see them on her blog HERE.  But I did manage to get some killer shots while we waited.

Hawaii - is spanish for awesome vacation

I just got back from the most amazing vacation ever.  My good friend Lezlie was kind enough to invite Me, This Guy, and a few other honorable mentions out to her parents house in Kailua.

I wish I was still there :( Boo you mainland.

As expected, I took a thousand pictures and a full post is coming soon, but here are a few teasers.

Oh and one more note.... All these images you see were taken straight out of the camera. NO PHOTOSHOPPING whatsoever.  And the secret.....Canon 5D + 17-40L lens + Polarizing Filter on top of the UV Filter + In Camera Cross Processing.   There you have it, now go create awesomeness with your badself.  Mahalo.

Let's take a vote.  Please leave your response in the comment section.

She was the best "Open Relationship" of Facebook I've ever had.

Oakland-San Jose-Apple-Santa Cruz-Big Sur-Home

So I bought a new car :)  The dealer was going to charge me $600 to ship the car down from San Jose, so I opted to fly up there and drive it home.  Dre was kind enough to come along for the adventure.  Here's how it all went down.....

homemade oreo ice cream

My mom and Sister make the world's best/greatest/most awesome homemade oreo ice cream on the face of the planet.  Seriously this stuff rocks.  Last Sunday we had a little post-birthday celebration for yours truly and we all enjoyed some frozen oreo awesomeness.

However, not only was their homemade ice cream, but also homemade key lime pie made by my Sister.  I'm convinced that if I still lived at home, I would be a perfect circle by now and the same size as a small house.
