Mike + Jessica.... the [e]session
Mike and Jess are just plain rad. That's all there is to it.
It was a cold and windy day, but managed to snap some killer shots (in my opinion) of these two love birds before they flew back up to BYU-I to the refrigerated lands of Rexburg, ID. Can't wait for the wedding in sunny San Diego in April!

I call him Ron - don't ask why
For the past 10+ years, Cort (Ron) has been one of my best friends. We grew up together in Draper, UT. If you live in the Sandy/Draper area - chances are we either toilet papered your house or lit your street/George on fire at one point during our younger years. Whether it was hanging out in the Eagles Nest, or sippin' a Red Cranberry Hummer from Juicetree, we always had a good time. Cort is the kind of guy you want to be like, and I'm lucky to have been his friend all this time.
Now to the point.......Not only is Cort very awesome, but he couldn't have found a cooler bride-to-be. We've both known Laura for quite some time and I can vouch for her awesomeness. I couldn't be any happier for these two. They are going to have the raddest life.
Here's a few shots I liked from their eSession in Marina Del Ray. Enjoy.

Joe + Aubs rock the House - Huntington Beach, CA
Yes it can happen. You really can come home from a mission, meet someone in your singles ward, fall madly in love, be awesome, and get married. Such is the case with Joe and Aubrey. I couldn't be more stoked for them.
These two lovely human beings of awesomeness meandered on up to Huntington Beach last weekend for a little lovin' in front of the camera. As luck would have, they picked the only day out of the entire year with cloudy skies and rain - yes - it actually rained here. Weird, I know.
All-in-all we had a great time cruising around HB trying to be as awkward as possible :) Congrats Joe and Aubs! I'm anxiously awaiting Jan 2nd when we get to hang out again.

Kirk and Lauren - Seal Beach, CA
Once upon a time, awesome humans descended upon some stank alley-ways and pylon covered beaches. They had style, class and some killer looks that would make Derek Zoolander jealous. The End.
Kirk and Lauren really came out swinging with their A-Game. They are both great people and an absolute joy to work with. I am anxiously awaiting the month of November when I get to party with them again. I couldn't be happier with how these turned out. Enjoy.

Kirk and Lauren
Had the pleasure of reuniting with an old friend this evening in Seal Beach and meeting her rad-tastic fiance. We had a great time walking the streets and managed to get some killer engagement shots. Here's a quick peek.

Dave and Vanessa - Laguna Beach
I kid you not when I say these two are the coolest/most in love characters I've seen in a long time. We had such a good time hanging out in Laguna and getting some great engagement shots. I only wish I was shooting their wedding :(
I knew right when I took this shot that it would be my favorite. The textures...the rod iron fence....the emotion....and the processing all came together. No lie - to date this is my favorite engagement shot I've done. Sorry everyone else - try and be more awesome :)

These next two came in a close second on the meter-o-favorito

Zach and Megan
Last weekend I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of a long time friend and his soon to be Eternal Shorty.... Zach and Megs flew down from Utah for Spring Break and to get some engagement shots. We had a great time at The Lab in Costa Mesa and by my house in Huntington. Enjoy.

Kevin and Kellie
Kevin and Kellie are two of the radest peeps in town. They are some of my good friends and live close to me in Huntington Beach. Kevin is an absolute surf addict, and they both love the beach....so shooting them at the beach around the Pier was a no-brainer.
Funny story.... when we took these photos - Kevin still hadn't proposed with the real ring. Slacker, I know. But he made up for it later that night when he popped the question. I do not know how on Earth Kevin was able to keep it cool and be relaxed for some photos, but I guess that is a testament to his chill personality. Needless to say, Kevin is lucky he was able to con Kellie into it, because she is about as top quality as it gets.
These two are awesome together.... and I mean it. They are going to freaking rock the house as a couple. Congratulations K&K!

Dorene and Brian, Part Deux
I was finishing up my images for Dorene and Brian tonight (after the incredible win by the NY GIANTS!!!) and had to post a few more. Enjoy.
Stay tuned tomorrow for a post of my super sweet time out in Indio, CA on Saturday with Pulte Homes and Del Webb. I'm tired and ate way too many pretzels while watching the Superbowl tonight.

Ok, so when I tried to explain my vision to D & B on these next shots - they kind of gave me a blank stare and probably thought I was retarded, but I think it turned out well. I hope you guys agree :)

Dorene and Brian
I had a great time this weekend shooting some portraits for Dorene and Brian in Corona Del Mar. They are good friends of Bryce and Sarah and were an absolute delight to hang out with for the afternoon. I am very much looking forward to their wedding in April at the Newport Beach Temple :)
Here's a few of my favorites that stuck out as I sorted through all the images.
I thought these trees were really cool.

My favorite shot of the day.

It's *Millar* time
And NO, that is not a typo. Millar is the correct spelling of Todd's last name. I had a blast shooting some last minute engagement shots for Danielle and Todd around South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Danielle has been a close friend of mine and it really was a honor/great time spending an hour with them.
These two truly are happy. They are going to freaking rock together!

This is what happiness looks like - just in case any of you are wondering....

This one is my favorite - use this one Danielle, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE :)

I like this one a lot.

Yes, this is some serious Bling! Well done Todd.
