Big Announcement coming...
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Truth is I'm gearing up to launch my new website and blog. Stay tuned, as I hope to have it up and polished this week.
In the meantime, enjoy a tasty treat from Saturday night's Dodgeball tournament.

Thank you Sam and Jared for being awesome and representing so well from the Cobra Kai DoJo. Does fear exist in this DoJo? NO SENSEI!!

in a record store near you...
Very soon you'll be seeing this girl on a CD cover. Her name is Kylee and she likes to party with her voice. Is she good? Do bears poop in the woods? [insert yes/affirmative statement in case you've never seen a bear in the woods]
If you really wanted to hear her sing and can't wait for the album to drop, I guess you could come to the World Cup of Dodgeball this Saturday......she's going to sing the National Anthem :)

Lazy Sunday
I love daylight savings. I really do. I love being outside and I love being able to come home from church and have the sun still out.
We went for a little meander down to the beach on Sunday. I decided to take the camera just for some keepsakes.

Dodgeball
My buddy Andy was kind enough to lend me his new Canon 5D Mark II on Saturday. Me and a few friends took advantage and shot a little film to promote an upcoming activity in our ward.
Do whatever you can to get in front of a computer with speakers and turn it up loud. The quality of the HD video from the 5D is unreal. I totally want one...

Interiors by B. Stiles
This is something different for me. I don't usually photograph interiors, but had a good time doing these. My friend Brittany is quite the designer. Here are a few rooms she put together. Check her out:

Pretty cool gold chair that she "imported" from Maine.

For some reason, the dog was a big hit.

I thought the upholstery on this chair was cool.

a very nice and cozy family room.

Mike + Jessica.... the [e]session
Mike and Jess are just plain rad. That's all there is to it.
It was a cold and windy day, but managed to snap some killer shots (in my opinion) of these two love birds before they flew back up to BYU-I to the refrigerated lands of Rexburg, ID. Can't wait for the wedding in sunny San Diego in April!

Shauna likes to paint
One of my favorite things about living in California is being surrounded by so many talented people. I've been fortunate to meet and become friends with many of them who have inspired me in their own ways. Such is the case with Ms. Shauna Lewis and her little shop of shabby-chic-super-duber-shavity-shavs of late night goodness (insert random blank stare).
Shauna likes to paint, and she freaking rocks the house when she's hanging with some canvas and paint brushes. Check out her blog and buy some of her paintings - they will bring you more luck than Buddha himself. Booyah.

The Papworth clan
Hey Megs, remember when I had you and your friends convinced you could use your Dining Plus meal plan at Maverick to buy frozen yogurt? Freshman - they are so naive :) Good story.
I've known Meg since she was a freshman at BYU. Since that time, she married one of the coolest dudes (insert bomb drop for Jeff), produced some stellar offspring, and taken up photography. Her husband Jeff called me months ago to see if he could arrange for Meg to sit down with me and show her how I do everything - camera techniques, post-processing, etc. It was her Christmas gift and we finally got around to having them out for a little shootshop.
We talked for hours, then had Jeff's brother and his mini-family-o'-radness come along to be our models. It goes without saying that if you are even remotely associated with the last name PAPWORTH - then you are rad.
Check out Meg's blog and show her some love

Nora....she is a gem

Baby Gray....future heartbreaker and ruler of the Cougar-Eat.

Hands down my favorite from the entire day.
