We actually booked two transatlantic cruises for this time in 2010. We are meeting friends in Europe for a big 50th birthday celebration and we did not know what their plans were at the time of booking. We had specific rooms in mind, so we booked as soon as the sailings came on sale, and we have since cancelled one of the sailings.

A transatlantic sailing on Jewel of Seas from Miami to Harwich was the eventual winner. We loved Brilliance of the Seas, we have no qualms about spending two weeks on Jewel of the Seas.

When we get off the ship in Harwich, we are going to fly to Barcelona to get on Adventure of the Seas for a short cruise to Ibiza for the actual birthday festivities.
