International Comic Book School of St Luc - Bruxelles
Igor’s multiple talents include illustration, creature and production design, sculpture, storyboarding, medieval fencing choreography and story writing.
Igor attended an Applied Arts School in Nimes, France where for three years he studied architecture, furniture design, illustration, graphic-design, fashion design and advertisement.
Then he decided to spend a year in the International Comic Book School of St-Luc in Brussels mainly learning storyboarding to build up a strong visual narration sense.
Straight out of school, Igor began designing for a wide variety of media.
Illustrating for role playing game magazines, creating simulation games, designing and art directing/choreo-graphing theatre plays at first he was called by Atari (Infogrames at the time) to conceptualize part of the story and the universe of a real time 3D videogame for Playstation 2.
Then he moved to London for 4 years – not knowing a word of English – where he worked consistently as a freelancer for the Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. There, his speed and unusual twisted visual sensibility made him quickly one of the main designers of the company.
For the past ten years Igor has provided a considerable amount of designs, illustrations, sculpts and storyboards for films like X-Men 3, Brotherhood Of The Wolf, Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s stone, Feardotcom, Flintstones 2, Five children and it, The Snow Queen … etc.
Igor is now living in L.A having jumped like a mercenary on call, from country to country for years working as the film industry required.
On the side Igor has also developed to date an amazing amount of motion pictures concepts – stories and visuals - some currently optioned by Vanguard films - producers of Shrek – and a TV show optioned By Jim Henson Productions.
Several of Igor’s interactive and board game ideas are being considered by game and toy companies as we speak.
