WELCOME TO ANKENY ACRES:  Home of Blue Collar Genetics.  People ask why we refer to our breeding stock in that manner.   We find that it’s the easiest way of stating our farm mission.  In today’s world of high profile show livestock, we feel we bring a fresh, down- to-earth approach to the purebred livestock industry; whether it be our traditional Polled Dorset sheep, Lowline Angus cattle or the grass finished beef we market.
 
We hope this site gives you a good feel for our livestock operation.  We operate a diverse livestock program therefore the ‘Sale Pen’ will display both sheep and cattle.
