A two-part educational documentary series in pre-production.
Difficulties face us all, especially as teenagers. But there are added burdens for those among us who are children of immigrant families or those from a cultural minority. These kids play an important role in our society, providing a bridge between Canadian society and that of their respective ethnicity.
butterflytyphoon has joined forces with Aspen Family and Community Network Society and India Canada Association to create this community initiative. The videos will be distributed to various cultural groups, community organizations and schools across the country. If you would like more information on this production please contact us.
In 2005 Aspen Family and Community Network Society published a book called All Kids Have Dreams, Immigrant Youth In Greater Forest Lawn. The book gave voice to many visible minority youth within Calgary. GUAS is the next step to encouraging important discussions with homes and classrooms in our ever changing city.
