This is my very first web page. Although it might be hard to tell, thanks to Apple’s iWeb. Wow, I never thought it could be this easy. No HTML or fancy computer languages to learn. I just started clicking and typing.
I love to write about non-fiction different topics.
I live in southern California. A Battalion Chief with the fire department. I have worked in nearly every discipline in the Fire Service but I specialized in Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting for most of my career. I’m no stranger to our world famous Brush Fires, Hazardous Materials Emergencies, Structure Fires, and the other more frequent emergencies like traffic accidents and medical emergencies. If you’re not very familiar with my line of work, the list of disciplines is quite long and within each one you could spend a lifetime trying to become an “expert”. I have been in the Fire Service for 21 years and I have never enjoyed using the description “expert” for anyone, especially not myself.
I got my start as a Firefighter for the United States Army with the 101st Airborne in Kentucky, then transfered to Hawaii, and finally Arizona before my ETS date. To GIs that acronym stands for Echo Tango SUITCASE! I don’t remember what the Army personnel clerks called it.
I have never been married. Ewww, scary huh? Was engaged once though and I have no children. The thought of getting married at this age still excites me. In fact, for me it becomes more important as time passes. The thought of making a huge mistake frightens me as well. I own my home. Until recently I had a Labrador named McGee by my side. I had to say goodbye to my friend on September 09, 2008. He was not just my best friend, but really everyones.
