The Return or the End?

I’ll skip the cliched line “I’ve been uber-busy” and just say that I lost interest in blogging. Why? Information overload. There are so many sites out there that I’m buried in the noise of other self-centered individuals who believe people really want to hear their inane drivel.
The BACR site will go down as soon as I figure out to archive it (and avoid deleting it completely as if it never existed). There are too many things going on in the world of cinema to keep track of it by myself especially if Hollywood is going to put out so many shitty movies. There are so many wonderful independent films that go unseen because some distribution company thinks the audience can’t handle it but desperately wants to see Tim Allen in “The Santa Clause 38: Santa meets Satan”.
I’m going to try to post more often. This time I’m going to focus on the personal site with more of my stories of what influences me creatively and some of the amazing photographs I’ve taken. As some of you may not know, I went to Barcelona and Paris last October. In 15 days, I took over 2700+ pictures. After I review the pictures, I realized three key things:
1. I need to take my time when taking pictures. This includes adjusting the filter settings on my camera correctly, setting the proper flash setting (if necessary), and forming better compositions (no black on black stupid).
2. You can never take enough pictures. You’ll take a lot of crappy pictures no matter what your skill level. However, odds are that there will be a few gems in otherwise unspectacular photos. Carry extra memory... ALWAYS.
3. Skin tones come out awful unless you try really hard. This rule relies heavily on #1 and #2.
Ok, so after writing all this I feel much better about blogging. Maybe this is why people find it addictive. Putting your thoughts on paper... er... uh... online is quite liberating. Maybe this is why I decided to write (in the traditional sense) over the course of this year. Expect a few excerpts here and there.

And forgive me in advance if you’re one of those self-centered individuals with a blog. I guess I’m a self-hating blogger.
