The tvTray
It’s not often that a company comes along and designs EXACTLY what I needed without me even asking. When Apple introduced the Apple TV, I knew I would want to try one. If I liked it I would probably want two. One in the living room and one in my home theater. I bring family and friends over to either of those locations for photo slideshows and the Apple TV works perfectly for this.
However, there is one more HDTV that I wouldn’t mind having an Apple TV connected to for watching podcasts and other short videos. It’s the one in my exercise area. The problem is that this particular flat panel is suspended from the ceiling and there is no good place to put an Apple TV or any other set-top box. Leave it to the folks at H-Squared to invent the tvTray!
The tvTray is a custom piece of acrylic that mounts to shelves or walls in multiple directions. As soon as I saw this I ordered along with another Apple TV. Don’t worry, I had a $250 gift card from Amazon.com, so I only had to pay the $49 difference on the 3rd Apple TV. I ordered the wall mountable version of the tvTray and it was really easy to install. Other than the cables coming out of the back of the Apple TV, this solution would be almost invisible as the tvTray is cleverly designed to fit underneath the Apple TV in the existing groves. So there is not to snap on or screw on to the Apple TV itself. As an added measure of security the power cable goes through a little clip to hold the Apple TV perfectly in place. No chance of it falling off the mount this way.

If you need to mount an Apple TV on the wall or under a shelf, the tvTray is the PERFECT solution. It’s $32.99 here.
