Nike+iPod = Airport delay
I’m really hooked on the Nike+iPod solution! It works really well and it actually encourages me to work out more often as I can watch my progress.

I even took this solution with me on vacation figuring that I would walk/run the track on board the ship. So I wore my Nike shoes with the Nike+iPod transmitter embedded in the soles. No problem going through Detroit security. I took the shoes off and put them on the x-ray belt with the rest of my gear. However, coming back through Miami was a different game altogether.
I got back from the cruise way before my afternoon flight (which was delayed 2 hours anyway) was scheduled to leave. So we grabbed breakfast and then decided to go ahead through security and to our gate to hang out (thank God for EVDO service). Just like before I put my shoes on the belt with all my gear. At this point I could tell that the person watching the monitor was puzzled as to why there was a oval shaped metal object in ONE of my shoes? They kept pulling the shoe off the belt looking inside, not seeing anything and running it back through. Luckily I was in no danger of missing my flight, so I stood there amused and watched them as they just couldn’t figure it out. At one point I even tried to tell them what it was, however they of course won’t listen to the “suspect.” Eventually after several checks and swabs for explosives, they let me go.
So if you’re in a hurry, I suggest you remove the sensor from the shoe before going through airport security.
