Hi, I am Terry Morikawa from NPO MESH SUPPORT. MESH SUPPORT or MESH in short, is aiming to be a first and foremost NPO that operates EMS Helicopter (named as Dr.Heli in Japan) Unlike Dr.Heli that is funded by local and national government mix program, MESH totally depends on donations from governmental sector and civil sector. In other words, it depends on people’s free will. the will... that everyone cares everyone else.
Why are we doing this?
Simple! It is because the Dr.Heli of the governmental program (we call this Dr.Heli, as oppose to
MESH) does not cover all needs and wants of local people. There are always better cared areas and not so cared areas. For those people for not-so-well-cared areas, this is not fare,
is it? And if not the local government gives a solution, who can give? The answer is, again,
simple. That is we!! We help ourself, yes, we live in free country. And in the free country, if there
is a determination and mighty will, there is a way!!! Oh, many people says we are crazy, or unrealistic. Who cares? We firmly believe like of famous message of “adidas “,
IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!

こんにちは、NPO MESH Supportの森川です。MESH Support は日本において初めて民間型ドクターヘリの実現を目指す為に設立された（というか、今はNPO法人認証手続き申請中ですが）組織です。国のドクターヘリの配備を望んでも、県の予算や、国の救急医療体制の制約の中で、対象となれない地域、人々こそ、実は救急ヘリが必要だという逆説的な真実。同じ税金を払っているのに、救われる人々とそうでない人々がいる、地域がある。心ある行政マン（ウーマン）もおかしいと思ってる。でも、規則ではそんな地域の病院（つまり、二次救急医療施設）では、ドクターヘリを運航することはできない。これが現実です。ならば、本当に必要なら、本当に人々が、我々が、望むなら、自分達で創っちゃえばいい。多くの人々から、そんなことできっこない、と揶揄されながらも、当事者は命をかけてこの夢の実現に邁進しています。このサイトはそんな私たちの、日々の活動をお伝えする ”カッテ” ブログサイトです。
MESHとは？
Medical Evacuation Service with Helicopterの頭文字(acronym)。 メッシュと発音する。Medical evacuation（通称メディバック）は、戦場や被災地から救急ヘリをを使用して傷病者をすみやかに、治療のできる直近の医療施設に送る事。今日のドクターヘリの原点ともいえる。日本で初めて、民間病院の自主財源でドクターヘリと同様のコンセプトで、現場救急を実施した沖縄県北部地区医師会病院のプログラム名
