Welcome to my site

I very much like helping  people, of all ages,  get to grips with computing, thus overcoming any fears or apprehensions that they may have.

I love it if when they come to love their computers and make full use of them, thus realising their investments, instead of wondering why they ever bought such a large ugly paperweight, which gathers dust.

Trust me! Computing is not difficult, once you are shown how.

They are not cleverer than you or I, despite what the sci-fi movies may imply. Mankind invented the technology. Technology did not invent mankind.

I hope to add regularly to the hints and tips pages, to help make your computing lives more easy.

Also I’d like  to share my photos and musings with you here, either on the photos or blog tabs respectively.

The Computer Companion offers a friendly tailor made service at a pace to suit you.

He can show you what to buy wisely, how to look after it, how to upgrade it, as well as how to protect it, by the correct use of antivirus  and spyware software. Perhaps you’d like broadband or a wireless network installed. What is the difference between an Apple Mac and a PC?

He is able to teach you how to write letters, send emails ( including attachments, such as photos, to loved ones around the world)

He can show you how to “surf” the internet safely and how to shop for bargains, thus offsetting the cost of your computer.

He calls upon you, in the comfort of your own home, where you are familiar with your own computer, but does offer tutoring on his own computers at his office if required.

Should you want your own website then he can help by designing and publishing it at very competitive rates.

Currently he has over 150 clients whose ages range from early twenties up to 93 years of age, thus proving the point that you are never too old

References can be supplied to set your mind at ease.
