Welcome to my portfolio! I’m a graphic designer with over 22 years of print advertising experience from newspaper and magazine layouts, catalogs, brochures, company newsletters, product sheets, posters and direct mail pieces, to billboard signage and packaging design - and quite a bit in between! I am available for freelance graphic design work on an hourly or contract basis. I love new creative challenges and can work alone to create and design, or together with your copy writers and/or marketing departments. I enjoy the camaraderie of other designers and marketing gurus to bounce ideas off of so larger corporate settings also are a climate with which I am very much at home! I also enjoy working with small businesses - which have been some of my most rewarding experiences. I am ready and eager to help you increase sales through incorporation of high impact print advertising pieces while always maintaining your business branding quality standards. My background includes 14 years at the Star Tribune as a Senior Designer, 4 years as Art Director/Designer at Pure Blue Swim Supply and Foss Swim School, and many years of freelancing out of my home office in Ramsey, MN. The Mac based programs I use are InDesign CS2 l QuarkXPress l Photoshop CS2 l Illustrator CS2 I also have experience maintaining websites through the use of web administrative software. I design home pages, banner ads and thumbnails, and can keep product line images and copy up to date. I do not know html, but know several quality, reasonably priced web gurus who can take my images and launch your website with them. I also have many years of experience in photo touchups and enhancements. I am dependable, and have an honest, Christian work ethic. I will work quickly to provide needed fast turn-around for your time-sensitive projects. My rates are very competitive, and always negotiable. Because I work from my home office my overhead is minimal and so not padded into my fees! I do offer contract rates for guaranteed minimum weekly or monthly hours because I appreciate (and need) a consistent workload. Rates start as low as $30 per hour (for 30+ hours/week).
