2008 Winners - Consumer Science
 
2008 Science Fair Awards  Consumer Science  27 students submitted projects in the consumer science category. Our judges were Dana King and Kathy Rogers, both teachers at Model Elementary School. First Place Award    Rod Selman “Popcorn Blizzard” The judges said: “Good information! You made your project very scientific by conducting multiple trials of each brand.” 2nd Place Award    Joshuah Woodard “Do name-brand batteries last longer?” The judges said: “Neat design, especially your apparatus for the flashlights!” 3rd Place Award  Mason Riggs “Which brand of popcorn pops most completely” The judges said: “Counting kernals for precise data was good science!” . Honorable Mention Award   Dakota Mobbs “Diet Coke versus Diet Pepsi” The judges said: “Creative! This was a unique approach and you conducted three separate tests.”
