I am in the Columbus, Ohio Airport (putting Airports with open Wi-Fi on my gratitude list today!) readying myself to return home and hit the ground running.
Tonight there is a rehearsal for “The Room.” I’m really excited about this show. It’s written and directed by Michael Franco (You can see a picture of Michael Franco with Cricket on my photo page.) Everything I’ve seen Michael Franco direct or produce has been top-notch - the kind of theatre I want to be involved in. So when he was casting this huge period piece with lots of men and a few symbolic women, I got my chance. I play two different roles - one is a long monologue, one is a fun, fun scene where I play an oblivious socialite. Really excited to get back for rehearsals.
I’m sure you may be wondering how Cricket and her family are faring. They are actually doing rather well despite the emotional challenges of facing life without Bob. They are all getting their business done and taking time to feel the feelings. Healthy response to hellish goings on. Cricket is staying on with her Mom a while longer.
