I am writing a book about the mid-20th century architect Harwell Hamilton Harris.

For years, people have asked me, “Who is your favorite architect?” I don’t have one favorite architect, but I’ve always answered that Harris is one of my favorites. He had an amazing talent for relating to the southern California climate and terrain. His work is quietly beautiful. I hope the book will be, too.
