We are busy updating the website, so at this time, you will not be able to link to larger images. Sorry.

Urban and community planning, landscape urbanism, and new paradigms in neighborhood space, have been the focus of my work for the past year. Soon, many of these urban spaces will be under construction and will have images and links on these pages. It’s an exciting time to be creating new, humane, spaces.

Also ...

LIGHT and FURNITURE.

New lighting designs in copper, bronze, steel, and mica. New furniture designs in sustainable hardwoods.

Sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, hanging lamps for house and garden. Benches, tables, stools, and sofas: casual, practical, and comfortable. The designs are being built  now and as soon as the pieces are finished, I’ll post the photos here. These light fixtures are made of solid copper and bronze blocks, bars and rods. To soften the light, I’m using mica, the flakes of translucent natural mineral, in a beautiful shade of olive green, a color I have not seen used in mica lighting fixtures.

If you would like to receive a PDF catalogue of the newest lighting fixtures and furnishings, please email me, ted (at) tedwells.com.

My new book, about the mid-century modernist architect, Harwell Hamilton Harris, will be published by Gibbs Smith Publisher in 2009. This year, besides finishing the text, photographer John Ellis and I are finishing the photography of twenty-two of Harris’ houses.
