How does Lyon School use Technology to enrich and integrate the curriculum? • Use of the Alexandria program to research materials • Creation of Multimedia Presentations • Use of United Streaming for content based video clips • Researching the Internet • Communicating using various tools such as word processing or email • Integrating technology in the classroom curriculum utilizing CD ROMS, Internet, and Applications • Using software to illustrate and express ideas • Applying digital photography for Language Experience Activities • District and School subscriptions to Enchanted Learning, United Streaming, Atomic Learning, World Book Online  Who Am I? Mrs. Tracy Murdach I am the Technology Facilitator at Lyon Elementary School What is a Technology Facilitator? 
 A Technology Facilitator works with staff in the area of Technology Integration. We collaborate and plan curriculum rich technology projects and lessons for the K-2 grade students at Lyon. In other words, I help make all of our exciting and important technology projects, activities, and webpages possible. School is very important. Where did I go to school? 
 I went to St. Mary of the Woods Grade School, Regina Dominican High School, DePaul University and National-Louis University...and since school is so important, I am still going to classes!! :) What are some of my favorite things? My Family Baseball Volleyball Reading Taking pictures Making movies on my computer Going on Vacations Teaching others about Technology* *Even though Technology is REALLY cool. we all should still read books, go outside and play, spend time with family and friends and most importantly BE HAPPY My Photos 
 
 
About Lyon
 
Each classroom at Lyon has three networked eMac computers and our Learning Center houses a computer lab of 26 eMacs. Digital media tools are available to all students at Lyon. Thanks to the Lyon/PR PTA, a wireless network has been installed for mobile technology. Lyon Students also have access to 25 wireless laptops - a "lab on wheels"
