Campus Contact Guides

Most of our participating campuses have alumni or undergrads who work with the ALA each year as a primary contact. These contacts promote the program, are a resource for information and help each campus group register, make flight arrangements and prepare for the experience.

Do It Yourself (DIY) Campus Program

Want to design an ALA-style program for your own chapter/campus? Inviting area alumni to speak and share their life-lessons is a great way to reach out to them and get them reconnected to your group or campus. ALA has put together a “Do It Yourself” kit so you can create your own program. We’re still working on the appendix, but you can help create it - just send us copies of what you come up with!

As of January 23, 2007, passports are required of all travelers between the U.S. and Mexico, so all participants must have a passport. This process can take 6 to 8 weeks, so please plan ahead.       Promotional Materials

Need some flyers or posters to market the experience to your campus group? Here are a few items which may help you. These may be printed in limited quantity or attached to E-mails to promote participation. The ALA must be notified if these materials are used for fundraising purposes. Note: Be patient, these are large Adobe .pdf files. Use the free Acrobat Reader to view.
