American Leadership Academy
The ALA works with individuals and organizations from many areas, who support our programs, attend as presenters or mentors and who provide important contributions of time, talent or treasure.
Attend as a Student
Campuses request space through the ALA. Those who are approved for a specific session may purchase airline tickets and register online. All attendees MUST have a valid, government-issued passport. Registration will require your itinerary, passport number and emergency contact information. For more information on reserving space, click HERE, or click on the “Student Attendee” link in the menu at left.
Apply to be an Intern
Interns report to Los Cabos in mid-February to support the March programs and complete their work by April 5. It’s a great opportunity for an international experience and interns meet and get to know many of our outstanding faculty and guest speakers. The pay is low and work is long, but there’s time for enjoying Los Cabos and learning new skills. Applications are available online HERE, and are due by October 1.
Recruit Outstanding Participants
If you’ve attended a session before, or work annually with a campus group, be a part of educating students on the opportunities of the program, and encouraging their annual participation. An important part of our program’s success is getting the right students to the program - those who have leadership potential, but who need an extra push to get focused and started on their leadership journey. The ALA can provide materials and resources to help you. Call or E-mail us, or visit our Resources page HERE.
Request to be an ALA Speaker (or Recommend Someone)
If you think that you have the potential to inspire today's youth to adopt the habits that will make them successful in life, you may be a speaker candidate. More information on our speaker program and materials can be found HERE.
Or perhaps you know someone you think would make a perfect presenter for our program. The ideal candidate is a proven and successful leader in his or her profession, is dynamic and engaging, has valid and valuable life lessons, and can communicate well to an audience of college students. Let us know about this wonderful resource by E-mailing us at the address below.
Donate to the ALA, a non-Profit Charity
Do you want to find out how you can donate to ALA? We have a resource for one-time or recurring online donations, or can work with you on special gift arrangements. Donations help provide leadership education for today's college students, so they can become more successful leaders for tomorrow.
The ALA has been designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN: 81-0625000), so contributions are deductible to the full extent of the law.
