the student-produced newscast, CLE Live! (Camera, lights, education) is now in its fifth year. the show began in the 2004-2005 school year with two students and has grown to three classes of over 40. CLE’s namesake and first anchor, casey lynae england will graduate from Oklahoma state university with a degree in broadcast journalism. casey graduated from howe in 2005.
The high school show, cle live!, is produced by 4 teams of students, consisting of mainly Freshman and seniors. The weekly show (“paw’d cast) is available as video on-demand on this site, and also in the itunes store. The show is aired LIVE every friday at 8:30 a.m. CST.

Broadcast Journalism I is a two-semester course designed to give students hands-on opportunities in television production. Through a variety of production experiences students will learn the power of the medium, examine issues of fairness and objectivity, apply critical thinking skills on a regular basis, exercise creativity, and gain an overall understanding of news-gathering techniques.
In other words, “students learn to tell a story using audio and video!” Students have access to a plethora of cutting-edge technologies including:
final cut pro, MOTION, livetype, wirecast, canon gl2, canon xl1, panasonic gs-500, apple ipods, imacs, video conferencing equipment, and moodle!
