Musicians’s Profile
Maniam is the most respected Indian Classical percussionist in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. He has travelled around the world in the past 30 years with his tabla. Maniam is also an adept player of Indian drum Tavil, a prominent drum played during Indian wedding ceremonies and festive occasions. He has also appeared in ASIANA, an ethnic jazz band led by Jeremy Monteiro.
Tamagoh has been playing with the Jeremy Monteiro Jazz Band since 1989. He is a much sought after 'live" session drummer and has played in numerous musicals, both local and international. He has performed in ASEAN countries, Japan, the USA, Europe, Canada , and New Zealand.
The well known jazz acts he has played with are, James Moody , Eric Mariental, Ernie Watts, Terumasa Hino, and Nestor Torres. He is currently working with Hong Kong Music Director Anthony Lun and pop star, Sandy Lam.
Tamagoh was awarded the COMPASS ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE AWARD 2005 for his outstanding artistic contribution to Singapore, and he became recipient of the SOKA Association’s GOLDEN LION AWARD for his contribution to its World Peace movement. In June 2005 he received the SINGAPORE STREET FESTIVAL TRIBUTE AWARD.
REGI Leo is the music director of the Caravan Jazz Band. Apart from playing Classical guitar, Regi’s repertoire includes jazz, the evergreens and top 40s music. A former member of Singaporean band , New Faces and Kruger, Regi has travelled with show bands to Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, and Thailand.
He is also a regular member of a band led by Tamagoh for artistes like Frances Yip, Platters , Coasters, and Coco Lee.
Zubir Abdullar, is accordian and Malay Gumbus player. A composer and arranger for Malay folk music, Zubir blends blues and ethnic music. Zubir was featured in the 1999 Singapore Arts Festival production, entitled “A tribute to P. Ramley.”
Collin Yong, is a bass player and talented musician, capable of playing the Chinese Flute, Ti Zhi. Besides having participated in the Singapore International Jazz Festival , he played in Bangkok with the Thomson Jazz Band featuring USA GRP label saxophonist , Ernie Watts.
He participated in international jazz events like Kutchan Jazz Festival in Hokkaido, Japan (2000), Bangkok and SIA Singapore Jazz Festival (2001) where he played with Ernie Watts and Eldee Young), Asian Jazz Yatra 2002 in Mumbai, India (2002), IAJE Jazz in Toronto, Canada (2003).
Jazz aside, Colin is also bass player and flutist for various ethnic fusion groups. He has recorded and worked with international artistes John “Kaisan” Neptune and V Selvaganesh, and played with New Asia at “Music Everywhere” festival (Chicago, 2002) and the launch of “Uniquely Singapore” in Berlin in 2004.

* Please provide four chairs without arm rest at performance area.
* Please provide stage lighting.

HOSPITALITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Please provide the following to all musicians and manager.
*Change room with 3 feet by 2 feet mirror.
*2 dozen assorted Halal sandwiches.
*1 pot coffee with heater.
*1 pot tea with heater.
*10 pieces wet towels.
2 Performance area should be at least 12 feet by 10 feet.
3. Please allocate performing area furthest from VIP table.
