(Blair vs. The Campfire, Missouri, USA)
Blair Sneddon is a photographer/fashion designer.  Her website includes her portfolio of photographic work and fashion design. It also has a contact page, so write her a letter.  She’s social, and has a whole lot of dirt on me!

Blair has been my best friend since we met in the 6th grade back in Orlando, Florida.  We have been with each other through thick and thin. We almost died together in the Mojave Desert on a ridiculous road trip (Route 66).  We almost got thrown out of a casino in Vegas for gambling underage.  We hopped buses in Guatemala and hopped bars in Paris.  We rode across Iceland on horseback.  Twice.
Casual Service sells unique apparel designed by 2 girls, Dara Cahill and Michelle Quick.  They do everything from screen-printed shirts (usually with cute animals, often mixed with interesting geometric designs) to interesting knit wear, and they do custom made orders as well.

Dara was one of the first friends I made in Chicago, and we learned sign language together.  We still have rituals of going to bars and speaking only sign in the evenings, or meeting up in the afternoons for coffee and crossword puzzles.
Fat American sells screen-printed shirts, made almost entirely by Alex in small batches on American made, sweatshop free shirts.  They range from moderately progressive to extremely political, but done in a way that is somehow subtle yet extremely forward at the same time.  Many people might not look twice at your shirt, but the one’s that do will most surly mention their brilliance to you.

Alex is a friend of mine from Orlando, and I am good friends with his sister and her husband who live in Chicago.  Alex is the type of guy that will randomly be in the same city as me about once a year, and is always a blast.
I have the good fortune of having some very interesting friends. Blair inspired me both to make a website, and to link my friends on it the way she did. Dara was the first in the group to venture into the land of web-making. All of my friends have been very supportive of my constant traveling, which isn’t always easy on them! (Especially when they have to house sit...)
This is a dinner attraction in Orlando, Florida.  I worked there through high school as a rider/performer.  It is a great horse show with amazing talent and beautiful horses.  It also has vegetarian and vegan meals available, which almost no other dinner attraction of it’s magnitude has.

My sister and father work there today.  They both do an amazing job, and I go back often to visit all of my friends from around the building.  My sister, Hanna, always encourages me to go on my crazy trips, and my father always helps out when I run into disaster in foreign lands.
This is an organization that uses salt water agriculture in dry countries.  It is a great program that takes all factors into consideration, so it is environmentally beneficial, helps with a countries economy, employs local people, and is completely sustainable.

Carl Hodges is the scientist who founded this program.  He is a very interesting fellow, and was even featured in Vanity Fair: The Green Issue (April, 2007).  I assisted an Emmy-nominated documentary on the subject, The Greening of Eritrea, narrated by Martin Sheen.
This is a PBS/HD Discovery TV show based out of Arizona that explores the deserts of the world.  They research everything from the plants and animals to the people and culture of these regions, and travel from Arizona to Argentina to Australia.

The videographer, Dan Duncan, is a good friend of mine, as well as a colleague.  He and I have done many film projects together, including two documentaries.  The host of the show, David Yetman, is also a good friend, who I met through Dan and working for the show.
This is a company in Iceland that takes horseback riders on tours across Iceland, herding Icelandic Ponies all day.  They are really extraordinary tours that take you into these absolutely remote areas of Iceland.  In the evenings, you hang out with other riders, hike around, relax in natural hot springs, and play cards.

The people who run this (Einar and Sigrun are the main couple) have been doing it year after year for decades.  They are completely environmentally friendly, so it is a wonderful way to see a country that still remains so untouched by the civilization that we know.
Trivia: The country that has the most number of islands is Finland, at 179,584 islands. This is a darling bed and breakfast located outside Florence, Italy. It is near the Antonelli vineyards, in the heart of Chianti. Run by an extremely nice couple, I have joined them for dinner before. Great food, beautiful view, and a wonderful place to relax. http://www.sillano.netshapeimage_6_link_0
This is a blog by my friend from college, Ty Unglebower.  As he puts it, “an amateur actor shares his not so amateur thoughts on the world of acting.”  Based in Frederick County, Maryland, he always has something interesting to say.
Dara and Blair on my birthday Alex in Blair’s kitchen for a Sunday brunch My sisters, Hanna and Lisa. We organize annual sibling-family vacations. Dan Duncan filming on-location for the Desert Speaks Me with The Desert Speaks host, David Yetman
Another blog, this one from a friend of mine in Berlin.  He writes about life in Berlin, travels around Europe, etc.   This blog is very easy for those living abroad and those who have lived abroad to relate to.
